Candidates chosen for 2003 election

Dr. Mark Munetz, Chair, Nominating Committee, has submitted the following slate of candidates for the 2003 election:

President-Elect
Herman A. Tolbert, M.D. - Columbus
Unopposed

Treasurer
Alice Hale, M.D. - Columbus
Ralph Walton, M.D. - Youngstown

APA Representative
Roslyn Seligman, M.D. - Cincinnati
S.R. Thorward, M.D. - Columbus

Council endorsed the nominees on the recommendation of the Nominating Committee.

OPA members may file petitions to place additional candidates on the ballot. The Executive Director of the OPA must receive such petitions no later than December 1, 2002. At least 15 signatures of eligible voting members are required on behalf of candidates.

The names of all candidates and their biographical information and position statements will appear in the Winter 2003 issue of Insight Matters.

Ballots will be mailed to OPA voting members February 28, 2003. Return ballots must be postmarked prior to April 1, 2003.
