Current Bills

Major missions of the OPPA are to advocate for our patients and our profession.

The legislature and government agencies impact significantly on both our profession and our patients. Hundreds of laws are introduced each legislative session -- some good, some bad. Regulatory agencies, such as the State Medical Board, the Ohio Department of Mental Health and others, promulgate rules to which we are required to adhere.

It is vital that we make our voices heard and our positions known. We do this by lobbying activities, OPPAC contributions, and testifying before the legislature. But the most effective way requires active participation of individual members of the OPA.

YOUR VOICE AS A CONSTITUENT IS VITAL!
