NAMI also recognized the Twin Valley Psychiatric System as the psychiatric hospital of the year for 2001. Dr. Michael Hogan, Director of the Ohio Department of Mental Health said, "We are honored by be recognized by NAMI Ohio, the largest mental health advocacy organization representing consumers of our services and their families. I want to thank the staff of Twin Valley, and Dr. Sherman in particular, for their personal dedication to delivering the highest quality care to their patients. With cutbacks in private hospital care, the citizens of Ohio depend even more on our facilities for excellent treatment."
