Buprenorphine Training - September 17

The OPA is planning an educational program on Buprenorphine and Office-Based Treatment of Opioid Dependence to be held in Cleveland on September 17, 2005. The purpose of the program is to provide information and training to participants interested in learning about the treatment of opioid dependence, and in particular, physicians who wish to provide office-based prescribing of the medication buprenorphine for the treatment of opioid dependence. Federal legislative changes allow office-based treatment with certain approved medications with a minimum of eight hours of training, which this course will provide.

Physicians who complete this course will be eligible to request a waiver to practice medication-assisted addiction therapy with Buprenorphine, in the treatment of opioid dependence.
Mark your calendar to attend this very important training opportunity. If you are interested in the course and want to make sure you receive details about the training, please let the OPA office know.
