Candidates for 2006 Election Announced

Dr. Marion Sherman, Chair, Nominating Committee, has submitted the following slate of candidates for the 2006 election:

President-Elect
Todd Ivan, M.D.
Brooke Wolf, M.D.

Secretary
Gary Balster, M.D.
Alice Hale, M.D.

APA Representative
S.R. Thorward, M.D.
Unopposed

Council endorsed the nominees on the recommendation of the Nominating Committee.

OPA members may file petitions to place additional candidates on the ballot. The Executive Director of the OPA must receive such petitions no later than December 1, 2005. At least 25 signatures of eligible voting members are required on behalf of candidates.

The names of all candidates and their biographical information and position statements will appear in the Winter 2006 issue of Insight Matters.

Ballots will be mailed to OPA voting members on February 28, 2006. Return ballots must be postmarked prior to April 1, 2006.
